Don Mattingly to Announce Formation of Inner-City Youth Baseball League Tonight

In an effort to expand the game of baseball to parts of the city that wouldn't otherwise have the opportunity, Don Mattingly will announce the expansion of his Don Mattingly RBI (Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities) League later tonight at 6PM at Blush Ultralounge.

The spring program will serve Evansville’s center city youth in an effort to increase the African-American population in baseball which currently sits at its lowest rate in twenty years while uniting the community and creating a thriving youth baseball and girls softball league. Tonight’s announcement event will communicate the league goal and feature various organizations, community leaders, corporate supporters and others who will make this a rewarding program for the entire community.
