Cancer survivors and guests are invited to Survivor Safari on Sunday, June 7 from 12n-4pm at Mesker Park Zoo. The event is a National Cancer Survivors Day celebration presented by Deaconess Cancer Services and Vantage Oncology.

“Being a cancer survivor—whether you were diagnosed a day ago or a decade ago—is something to celebrate,” said Debra Wilson, Director of Deaconess Cancer Services. “We have planned a fun-filled day at the zoo with a scavenger hunt and other activities for cancer survivors and their families to enjoy together.”

Tickets are required and can be picked up at one of three locations: Chancellor Center for Oncology at Deaconess Gateway, Deaconess Clinic Downtown – oncology department, or Vantage Oncology off Burkhardt Road.

Current/previous patients of Deaconess Cancer Services or Vantage Oncology can now receive tickets. Beginning Tuesday, May 26, tickets will be available for any local cancer survivor. Free tickets are limited to the first 250 survivors and three guests each, and will be given out through May 29 or while supplies last.
