A federal judge has ruled that the prosed display of crosses on Evansville’s riverfront will not be allowed. U.S. District Judge Sarah Evans Barker said that the "Cross the River" display would violate the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment.

The American Civil Liberties Union of Indiana filed the lawsuit at the request of two Evansville residents who wanted to prevent the display of 30 crosses along Riverside Drive.
