Earlier this week, a video was released that shows undercover investigators from Center for Medical Progress, an anti-abortion group, speaking with Dr. Deborah Nucatola, a senior director of medical services for Planned Parenthood, as well as Cecile Richards, Planned Parenthood CEO and President.

Dr. Deborah Nucatola, who oversees Planned Parenthood medical practices nationwide and performs abortions in Los Angeles up to 24 weeks, told investigators who were posing as potential human body part buyers that there are ways around the current laws.

Planned Parenthood affiliates “absolutely” want to offer such organs, she said. She also explained that the clinic holds a daily staff meeting to discuss what types of tissues were in demand that day including: heart, lungs and lower extremities. She also admitted to performing breach abortions that keep organs in-tact. Partial birth abortions are not legal in the United States.

While dismembering a child, the abortionist chooses what parts they will be harvesting based on that days staff meeting. “I’m not gonna crush that part. I’m gonna basically crush below, I’m gonna crush above, and I’m gonna see if I can get it all intact,” is how Dr. Deborah Nucatola explained their reasoning.

At the end of the video, the investigators thank Planned Parenthood CEO and President. Cecile Richards, for putting them in touch with Nucatola regarding the sale of infants' body parts. Richards calls her "amazing" but in a video statement after the video was released, Richards says, "The top priority is our compassionate care that we provide. In the video, one of our staff members speaks in a way that does not reflect that compassion. This is unacceptable and I personally apologize for the staff member's tone and statements." She threw her right under that bus...

Planned Parenthood released a statement via it's spokesman Eric Ferrero, Vice President of Communications, Planned Parenthood Federation of America:

“In health care, patients sometimes want to donate tissue to scientific research that can help lead to medical breakthroughs, such as treatments and cures for serious diseases. Women at Planned Parenthood who have abortions are no different. At several of our health centers, we help patients who want to donate tissue for scientific research, and we do this just like every other high-quality health care provider does -- with full, appropriate consent from patients and under the highest ethical and legal standards. There is no financial benefit for tissue donation for either the patient or for Planned Parenthood.  In some instances, actual costs, such as the cost to transport tissue to leading research centers, are reimbursed, which is standard across the medical field.

“A well funded group established for the purpose of damaging Planned Parenthood’s mission and services has promoted a heavily edited, secretly recorded videotape that falsely portrays Planned Parenthood’s participation in tissue donation programs that support lifesaving scientific research.  Similar false accusations have been put forth by opponents of abortion services for decades. These groups have been widely discredited and their claims fall apart on closer examination, just as they do in this case.”

CNN went on to say that the altered abortions could pose another issue as it's required by law to perform abortions that are safest for the woman - not best for harvesting organs.

Organizers are asking that this information be shared on Twitter with the hashtag #PPSellsBabyParts. They also request that everyone contact Congress and ask for a full investigation.
