Though the Los Angeles Lakers have long held the top spot in the City of Angels, the Clippers have clearly surpassed them in 2013 as the team to beat in L.A.

On Sunday the Clippers beat the Lakers, 109-95, giving them their first division title in franchise history. In the win Chris Paul had 24 points and 12 assists. Right now the Clippers fourth-best record in the West, and sit just six games behind the top-seeded San Antonio Spurs.

What's impossible to tell at this point is how long the Clippers will stay on top. It could be just a one-year thing, but with their corps of young talent (and the Lakers' aging veterans) it could be a while before Chris Paul, Blake Griffin and Co. release their grasp.
