After being returned to the Evansville IceMen a couple weeks ago, goalie Chris Driedger is headed back to "The Show" for a second run with the Ottawa Senators of the NHL.

The IceMen's third highest player in games played will join the Senators in time for their game against the Carolina Hurricanes later tonight. Whether or not he actually puts skate to ice during the game is yet to be seen. In his previous stint with Ottawa, he never had the opportunity to play in an actual game thanks to Andrew Hammond who went on a streak where racked up a 98.6% save percentage.

To replace Driedger, the IceMen sign goalie Alex Vazzano to an Amateur Try-Out agreement which is used for players like Vazzano who are coming in from college and have never played a minute of hockey at the professional level.

A native of Trumbull, Connecticut, Vazzano played two years at the University of Vermont before transferring to Sacred Heart University where he served as the primary starter for Sacred Heart University for the last two seasons, denying 91.6% of shots he faced during his senior season. He'll join the IceMen in time to be in the lineup Friday night when the team host the Florida Everblades for the first time this year inside the Ford Center.

Friday’s game will also be Faith Night, where fans can enjoy a post-game concert with the band Abandon. The first 1,000 fans 12 & under will receive a free youth jersey from TRCI. Additionally, fans can bid on the IceMen’s warm up jerseys in a post-game auction. The proceeds of this auction will benefit the Charlier Hospice Center.

Tickets for the game are available at The Ford Center box office, and online at Ticketmaster.com. Coverage of the game can be heard on ESPN Evansville 105.3, and online at ESPNevansville.com beginning at 7 p.m.
