With support from the National Endowment of the Arts, Indiana Arts Commission and the Vanderburgh Community Foundation, the Artist in Residence program was created to provide an opportunity for children and families who visit the museum to observe and interact with a professional artist.

The Children's Museum of Evansville is seeking applications for its newest artist in residence. The program is open to artists working in a variety of media. The artist will work in the museum for approximately 60 hours over the course of the residency, including open studio hours. The schedule will be determined between the artist and cMoe staff. Speak Loud, cMoe’s art, music, and theatre-theme gallery, becomes the artist’s workplace. During open studio hours, museum patrons will visit with the artist and will help contribute to the artist’s work. At the conclusion of the residency, the artist will contribute one of the pieces he/she worked on during the residency to cMoe. The final piece must be completed before the end of the residency.
