Chicago Brewery Offering Free Beer for a Year if You Can Kick a 43 Yard Field Goal

This last weekend Chicago suffered a pretty big blow when the Bears lost to the Eagles. Many have become "armchair kickers" since the loss, and one brewery isn't having it! 

Goose Island brewing is based in Chicago, and they're really tired of hearing people rag on Bears kicker Cody Parkey.  If you're a football fan (especially a Bears fan) then chances are you know about the field goal everyone is talking about.  Cody Parkey had the chance to win the NFC Wild Card game and in a devastating blow the field goal bounced off the goal post sealing the Bears fate and ending their season.

As expected many Bears fans were pretty bummed to have their team officially out of the playoffs (I know my household was definitely sad that evening).  Some even took to the internet to talk about how they "could have made that!"

But here's the thing, talk is cheap. Could you really have made that?

Goose Island wants you to put your money where your mouth is.

They're betting you can't.

Goose Island tweeted on Monday:

“A lot of armchair kickers on here are saying that they could hit that field goal, which we find DOUBTFUL. You’re gonna sit there on your throne of potato chips and vape pens and criticize this dude’s athleticism? GET REAL.”

So they're wanting you to try it, if you make the 43 yard kick, you get a year of beer! So what do you have to lose?? This Saturday January 12th at 1PM is your chance to prove you have what it takes.
