The first winter storm of the year will certainly cause travel issues for residents in the Evansville / Tri-State area this weekend. If you must get out this weekend, keep these numbers handy to check road conditions in your area before heading out.

Unless you slept through it, you know that a series of severe storms tore through parts of the Tri-State on Sunday afternoon. While most of Vanderburgh, Posey, and Warrick counties saw little to no damage as the storm broke a part and weakened as it entered those areas, our neighbors in Illinois and south of Henderson weren't as fortunate.
Evansville police remind motorists that left cars in roadways due to high water are responsible for moving them when the water goes down. Cars need to be moved enough to allow traffic to pass through the area
