Annette and her fiance Gerardo, who was also in on the ruse, were both arrested for misdemeanor child endangerment once they left their daughter in the station. Colombian Authorities Capture Drug-Smuggling Submarine [VIDEO]

Acting on tips from informants, soldiers in Colombia have seized a 99-foot fully submersible submarine that was intended to be used for drug smuggling.

The fiberglass boat had enough room for eight tons of drugs and a crew of six, and enough power to make the eight-or- nine-day trip from Columbia to Mexico totally underwater.

It hasn’t been uncommon for Colombian authorities to catch narco-traffickers with semi-submersible submarines, but smugglers using fully submersible subs is more unusual. It is estimated the sub cost two million dollars to build.
