Prizes You Win, Even From Radio Stations, Aren’t Free

I began thinking about the people who usually win prizes from radio stations.  We have our loyal listeners who win prizes, and we have listeners who surf the radio stations in the area and try to win as many prizes as they can.  What these people may be forgetting is that their prizes, once they reach a total value of $600 or more, will have to be accounted for to the Internal Revenue Service.  In other words, if you have won prizes that total a value of $600 or more, you will be responsible for paying taxes on those prizes to the I.R.S.

How Long Will You Live? Check the Strength of Your Handshake

Whenever I meet another guy, I always make sure that my handshake is firm and assertive, just like my dad taught me.  Most men were raised to give a firm handshake when meeting someone.  A firm handshake means that you're a "man," and that you mean what you say and stand for something.  A firm handshake gains immediate respect, while a limp hand places you in a submissive position.  Now, a firm handshake may mean more than that.

Click It or Ticket Campaign is Underway in Indiana – Buckle Up!

I learned how to buckle a seat belt when I was a kid, although many cars didn't have them until I was a teenager.  Still, it wasn't required by law for anyone in a vehicle to wear them.  Laws didn't begin being passed forcing occupants to wear seats belts until 1984 and that was only for front seats.  However, even in the 70s, my parents insisted that I wear my seat belt and that's when, for the most part, I made wearing a seat belt a habit.

New Cell Phone Battery May Change Recharging Forever

Jenny and Emily typically set their cell phones on the kitchen counter each evening when going to bed and let them recharge overnight.  Why?  That's a convenient time to charge them, especially considering it takes an hour or two for the batteries to recharge.  When your cell phone is almost completely drained, do find that you have to wait for an hour or two for the battery to recharge?  This is a common situation for most people, but this may be changing soon.  New technology may be on the way.
