It’s Time for Ten Digit Phone Calls in Evansville and Indiana

I blogged about this a while back and now it's here.  Beginning Saturday, Hoosiers will be in a "permissive dialing" situation, a six-month period where you can still dial the seven-digit numbers you've been dialing, but you should begin dialing the ten-digit (area code + number) to get into the habit.  Forcing yourself to dial the ten-digit now will have you ready for the mandatory switch beginning September 6.

Red Sox Facing Possible Suit Over ‘B Strong’

After last spring's horrific Boston Marathon bombing, the Boston Red Sox did their best to pick up the city. One of the ways that the team (and its fans) showed its support for the community was by adopting the 'B Strong' logo, which was featured throughout the park, on the player uniforms and on items sold to the public (with the money going to charity).

But now, the team could be facing a lawsuit over the 'B Strong' logo from a Texas-based charity that says it has used 'B Strong' for the past several years.

Help ‘Clean Evansville’ This Weekend

Keep Evansville Beautiful and Clean Evansville invite volunteers to come out on the first Saturday of each month to help pick up trash in different areas of the city. This Saturday, Clean Evansville Volunteers will target areas in Ward 4 on Evansville’s South from 9am-11am. The teams will gather at locations near Anthony Oates Park. The park is located in the 2300 block of S. Lodge Avenue.
