[1/23/2013 @ 8:40 AM] Castle High School is currently under precautionary lock down due to a possible threat of violence made by someone outside the school, according to reports.

School officials have told students that there is no gunman. However, all students are reportedly huddled in their classrooms with the lights off.

Castle North and South Middle School are also exercising lock down precautions.

[Update 1/23/2013 @ 9:15 AM]: According to Rick Reid from the Warrick County Superintendent’s Office, Castle HIgh School is on lockdown as a preventative measure due to a Facebook threat made by a Castle student.

[Update 1/23/2013 @ 9:40 AM]: According to reports, Castle High School has now been removed from lockdown.

Officials say that that the student is not current in school, but it is believed that the student has been taken into custody by law enforcement.

Lockdown procedure means no one can enter or exit the school at this time.

[Update 1/23/2013 @ 9:55 AM]: According to reports, the lock down precautions were due to a Facebook post by a student that did not come to school today. However, sources say that the child has now been apprehended. The school has been removed from lock down.
