Blue Angels Cancel All 2013 Shows – What Does it Mean for the Evansville Shrinersfest?

Due to the federal budget cuts the Navy has cancelled all Blue Angels air shows for the remainder of this year.

This marks the second time that the Blue Angels have cancelled on doing shows in Evansville. This time, the Hadi Shriners say they were prepared.

Brian Ball, spokesman for the local Shriners, said that they went to Las Vegas earlier this year and booked a complete air show.

In addition, Shrinersfest 2013 will include concerts featuring "known acts." Ball also said the the car show will be bigger this year and that Mike Harvey will be back with his dance party.

Buttons will be $5 again this year.

The Shriners plan to share all the details in early May.
