Last month at the Adventure Aquarium in Camden, New Jersey, Casanova was born.

Casanova is an African black-footed penguin and the newest attraction at the aquarium. When he was born he was little more than the size of a golf ball and has grown to about three pounds now.

Still just a few weeks old, Casanova will not be available to public view for sometime this spring. The aquarium released pictures of the chick on its Facebook page. It is the 14th baby penguin born at Adventure Aquarium.

So far, the baby bird is healthy and doing quite well. "We’re thrilled to report that this African penguin chick is very strong," according to Michele Pagel, the aquarium's curator of birds and mammals. "It is gaining weight by leaps and bounds, vocalizing and is already starting to walk and learning to eat on its own."

Its parents, Kali and Tyson, couldn't be prouder.
