In anticipation of this afternoon's 'Dawn of the Planet of the Apes' panel at Comic-Con 2013, Twentieth Century Fox has revealed a new viral (pun intended) website for the film, which warns against the dangers of the Simian Flu -- a disease that, in the fictional world of the 'Apes' films, has now spread to 8.7 million people, making it pretty easy for those apes to take over the world.
Following big news from sources that say Warner Bros. is announcing a Batman and Superman crossover movie at their Comic-Con panel this afternoon, comes word that the studio is also forging ahead with 'Flash' and 'Justice League' movies, tentatively scheduled for 2016 and 2017, respectively.
And here we were just counting our blessings that we get a new 'Godzilla' movie, featuring the legendary giant, stomping lizard monster. But as we learned at the 'Godzilla' Comic-Con panel today, we're getting multiple monsters for the price of one -- and one monster in particular will look very familiar to fans of the classic films.
Fans of 'Veronica Mars' and supporters of their Kickstarter to fund the upcoming film were treated to quite the presentation at last night's panel at Comic-Con 2013. Creator Rob Thomas presented the ultimate thank you in the form of a new video featuring behind the scenes footage and the very first teaser trailer.
Though a release date hasn't yet been announced, Jon M. Chu is already talking up 'G.I. Joe 3' at Comic-Con 2013. And if there's one place you want to start promoting your geek-friendly property, Comic-Con is where you want to be. Chu dropped a couple of hints about characters we might see return and expanding the scope of the film to be even bigger and crazier than before.
The panel for 'Kick-Ass 2' at Comic-Con 2013 has just begun. We'll be bringing you a thorough update this afternoon with all the details from that panel, but until then, Universal has just released an extended red band trailer for the upcoming sequel, with plenty of Kick-Ass and ass-kicking, and your favorite miniature hero, Hit Girl, as well as Jim Carrey's Colonel Stars and Stripes.
Michelle Rodriguez returns for 'Machete Kills' as Shé, Machete's revolutionary friend and fellow ass-kicker in the upcoming grindhouse-flavored sequel from Robert Rodriguez. In this new 30 second highlight and promotional reel, Rodirguez gets out some corny one-liners, like the cringe-worthy "I smell fish taco," and we get to see her fire off a few guns and do what a revolutionary does best. Hopefully we'll get more of these character-specific reels in the weeks to come -- especially now that we've gotten a brief glimpse at Amber Heard's character.
We've already seen a teaser trailer for 'How to Train Your Dragon 2,' but we've known little about the voice cast this time around. During DreamWorks Animation's panel at Comic-Con this afternoon, the studio made a big casting announcement for the sequel, with actors Cate Blanchett, Kit Harington, and Djimon Hounson joining the line-up.
We're only a few weeks away from the release of 'Elysium,' Neill Blomkamp's highly-anticipated follow-up to his debut film, 'District 9.' In that film, Blomkamp created some pretty amazing and original tech and weaponry, and it seems that he's done the same for 'Elysium,' as displayed in the above video.
