There were 48 original copies of the great Emancipation Proclamation, all signed by President Abraham Lincoln in the closing months of 1862. The Civil War was raging, and at that point in the conflict, things were not going well for the Union forces.
My first thought was, OK, this guy is just gonna drive his car really fast and catch up to this tee shot. NOPE...he is actually going to catch the ball IN his convertible Mercedes.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of the movie A League Of Their Own, which included many scenes shot at Bosse Field and other areas around Evansville. And to celebrate, the Evansville Otters will host a special screening of this film at historic Bosse Field this Friday, June 22nd at 8pm.
