Consolidation vs. Ohm’s Law – Resistance to Change

Evansville has had a Mayor/Council form of government for as long as most of us can remember. Likewise, Vanderburgh County’s three-member commission, serving in the executive capacity, and its fiscal council is a decades-old form of government.
A press release from Evansville Mayor Lloyd Winnecke's office states that the companies invited to submit formal proposals are Gatehouse Capital Corp., based in Dallas, TX; HWC, LLC, of Branson, MO; and Swerdling & Associates in Denver.
I actually had to do a double-take when I heard a commercial for this new show. I thought, "did they really just say a Bible trivia show is gonna be on TV?" Surely I misheard that, right? Wrong. It's real and it's coming.

The Indianapolis Colts are in prime time this weekend...with their second pre-season game taking place Sunday night. The Colts are trying to make it two in a row as they take on the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The monthly "Fitness In the Park" events continue this month with a trip to Garvin Park. These events started back in May and are FREE and open to the public. The goal is to raise awareness about health and fitness, and to actually get you motivated to get out and get active.
The 4th annual Run Wild or Walk Proud event will take you through the scenic and hilly grounds of Mesker Park Zoo and Botanic Garden. You and the whole family are invited to participate on Wednesday, September 5th at 6pm.
Evansville Mayor Lloyd Winnecke has been a busy man since taking office back in January. Whether or not you agree with all of his decisions, I think you'll have to agree that he has gotten a lot done is just over 8 months.
