Evansville Mayor Lloyd Winnecke and Leadership Evansville Executive Director Lynn Miller Pease announce the next VOICE community visioning session will take place tonight, Thursday, March 21st at Memorial Baptist Church and is open to everyone. VOICE is Evansville’s community-wide, citizen-driven vision process that allows community members to share their ideas, hopes and visions for Evansville’s preferred future.

Meeting Details:  Thursday, March 21, 2013 at Memorial Baptist Church, from 4pm-6pm at 645 Canal St. Evansville, IN 47713

Through facilitated sessions, VOICE aims to bring together diverse members of the community to discuss their dreams for Evansville in an open forum. The facilitation is led in such a way that respectful conversations will occur, all voices will be heard, and opinions will be documented, ensuring that the entire community has the opportunity to take part in creating a desired future.

Next Meeting:  The April VOICE session is scheduled for Wednesday, April 3rd from 4:30pm-6:30pm at Eastland Mall..

Beginning in January and continuing through April, Evansville area school children from grade school to high school are participating in VOICE sessions of their own. These meetings are giving more than 1,500 young people across the community the opportunity to share their hopes, dreams and ideas for Evansville’s future.
