The Indianapolis Colts announced late Tuesday afternoon that quarterback Andrew Luck will miss anywhere between two and six weeks with a laceration in one kidney and a partial tear of an abdomen muscle.

According to Colts.com featured writer, and frequent guest of Ford and O'Bryan, Kevin Bowen, Coach Chuck Pagano said, "the injuries happened at the end of an early fourth quarter scramble when Andrew was doing everything he could to get us the win."

Pagano went on to say Luck was sore after the game and feeling worse on Monday, prompting the team to have him evaluated by the team's medical staff. The kidney laceration and abdominal tear were revealed through a series of tests.

It is believed the injuries would not require surgery and a full recovery could come anywhere in the next two to six weeks.

The injury forces the Colts to lean heavily on 40-year-old backup Matt Hasselbeck beginning with their next game against the Falcons after the this week's bye.
