Before I go any further, and before you read any further - find some wood and knock on it. Our age-defining kicker, who just happens to be the oldest player in the NFL, hasn't missed a field goal or extra point this season.

The common sense part of my brain tells me that talking or writing about something like this has no bearing on whether or not Vinatieri's streak will or won't continue. But we've all seen a game where the commentator mentions that a kicker hasn't missed all season, followed by the kicker missing for the first time. Or a basketball player miss a free throw right after the play-by-play guy informs us of his perfect shooting streak for the past however many attempts. There is something to be said for superstitions sometimes. With all that being said, I hope that this blog doesn't come back to bite us (the Colts) in the ass. Believe me, if Adam misses this weekend, I will absolutely feel like I caused it.

Vinitieri's streak is currently at 26 field goals in a row, which is the third longest in Colts' history. If Adam can score 8 points this weekend, he will break his tie with Jason Elam and become the first player in NFL history to score 100 points in 17 seasons.

You can hear the Colts' game against the Patriots this Sunday starting at 6:30pm on ESPN Evansville 105-3!
