A while back it was revealed that 'A Good Day to Day Hard,' the fourth sequel in the quarter-century old franchise, would be rated R. Huzzah, right? Well, going by this new clip, it's hard to tell exactly when that decision was made.

Here we see John McClane (Bruce Willis) and son (Jai Courtney) go face to face with what looks like one of the main bad guys of the film, and though they free themselves and do a little fighting, there's no bloodshed. That doesn't necessarily say anything about the film proper -- it is a clip released to the general public -- but it's quite possible that the R rating was a last minute decision, which can lead to all-too-obvious CGI bloodshed. We'll know shortly as the film is due out February 14.

Here's the film's synopsis:

Iconoclastic, take-no-prisoners cop John McClane, for the first time, finds himself on foreign soil after traveling to Moscow to help his wayward son Jack–unaware that Jack is really a highly-trained CIA operative out to stop a nuclear weapons heist. With the Russian underworld in pursuit, and battling a countdown to war, the two McClanes discover that their opposing methods make them unstoppable heroes.
