12 Shelter Dogs of Christmas – Raven [Senior Pit Bull Mix]

In honor of the nationally recognized shelter dog Ned, that found his forever home after 837 long days at It Takes a Village Canine Rescue Shelter in Evansville, IN, we wanted to spread the love this holiday season and bring you the 12 dogs of Christmas! All of these dogs desperately need a home!

Many dogs have an adoption fee of only $25 until the end of December and several more are sponsored! All the adoptable dogs are posted online at ITVrescue.org.

A Good Samaritan found Raven lost and afraid recently. When this gal's owners couldn't be located, we agreed to help find her a new home. Raven a 9 years old Pit Mix sweetie. Just look at how gorgeous she is! Beauty AND brains!

Raven is a polite house guest in her foster home and goes to the door to do her potty business. All 80+ pounds of her enjoys playing with the resident Beagle. The two pals frolic and share toys while Raven has adapted the rules of the house. Raven has been a lucky gal since her foster family temporarily housed her. Raven is so well behaved, she isn't crated when left alone. She also loves children of all ages. Lucky Raven gets to snuggle in bed with her "girl" and enjoys running in the fenced in back yard. Our sturdy beauty has a submissive personality so she pretty well goes with the flow. Clip on a leash to Raven, and she will let you lead her on nice walks while getting some fresh air.

We hate it when a great dog is displaced, but our Village has stepped up and Raven now has the chance at a new amazing life. She is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and heartworm tested. Raven has been the best house guest, but it's time for her to find her new forever people. If you have enough space for a larger furry friend, please submit an adoption application at ITVRescue.org.
