118th Boston Marathon in the History Books: American Man Wins

Boston came back strong this year in the 2014 Boston Marathon with Meb Keflezighi, an American of 39 years of age, winning the race!  He was born in the Horn of Africa in a place called Eritrea, but later immigrated to the United States when he was 12 years old. 

In the women's race, Rita Jeptoo of Kenya defended her 2013 marathon win with a final time that beat her performance last year by almost two minutes!

This year's marathon went off without a hitch or any terrorism due to increased security.
